About the ASF

Who are we?

The Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF) was established in 1995 by Peter M. Treacy, a disabled skier from Knowlton, Quebec. Following an accident that left him an amputee, Peter’s dream was to start a ski school for children and adults with physical disabilities.

Sa mission est d’organiser et de mettre en œuvre des programmes éducatifs afin d’encourager les enfants et les adultes handicapés physiques à développer leurs capacités par la pratique du ski alpin et de sports nautiques. Les bénévoles de la FSA ont reçu une formation spécialisée leur permettant de les aider à pratiquer le ski de façon autonome.
