About the ASF

Who are we?

The Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF) was established in 1995 by Peter M. Treacy, a disabled skier from Knowlton, Quebec. Following an accident that left him an amputee, Peter’s dream was to start a ski school for children and adults with physical disabilities.

The Foundation needs your donations

The mission of the Adaptive Sports Foundation is to establish, operate and maintain educational programs that encourage physically disabled children and adults to discover new abilities through alpine skiing and water sports. The Adaptive Sports Foundation provides trained volunteers who will assist these individuals to become independent as skiers and in other aspects of their lives through developing self-confidence, self-motivation, increased physical strength and improved self-image while learning a lifelong sport/skill to be enjoyed with family and friends.
