2017 Summer Program

Thank you for your interest in our Adaptive Sports Summer Program opportunities.  On our website you should find everything you need to REGISTER and prepare for our program events (participant FAQ). Along the way if you have questions you can always email: admin@adaptivesports.ca or call us at 450-243-5985.

As a participant with the Adaptive Sports Foundation, you will have the opportunity to interact with people of all abilities and take advantage of the many activities we offer.

The Adaptive Sports Foundation (ASF) will provide two program options for participants this summer: “Initiation to Adaptive Water Sports” and “Elite Program*”.  These programs will allow athletes of all levels to participate in adaptive water sports.

Private lessons are available upon request, please contact admin@adaptivesports.ca or 450-243-5985 for details.

Leçon privée disponible sur demande veuillez contacter admin@sportsadaptes.ca ou 450-243-5985.

*Note: the Elite Program is by invitation only.

“NEW” The ASF will be mobile this summer!

The ASF wants to offer participants, who can not go to our permanent sites, the opportunity to learn adapted water skiing through its “Mobile Unit”. This program will provide many additional outings in an effort to reach more people with physical disabilities. (Please consult the calendar to know the names of the cities).

We have two permanent program locations:

  1. Camping Domaines des Érables – located in the Town of Brome Lake
  2. Parc du Centre-de-Plein-Air-Ronald-Beauregard – located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Please note that these activities will take place from 9:00 to 3:30.  The registration fee is $50 for a full day

Early registration is strongly recommended as there is limited space per program date.  Participants must register online. Registration will be on the basis of 1st come, 1st served.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  online registration does not guarantee a place in the program.  Registration for each activity date must be approved based on the number of volunteers available for that date.  Participants will receive an email from the ASF office confirming their participation date(s).

Cancellations:  If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled event we require that you give at least 24 hours notice. Water Sports Instruction is in high demand and your early cancellation will give another person an opportunity to learn to ski and advance in the sport. Please understand that if you do not give us 24 hours notice of your cancellation, your registration fee will not be refunded and you will be moved to waiting list status for the remainder of the summer.

For safety and insurance purposes, it is important that anyone actively involved with an event must be a registered volunteer or a registered participant. Guests and family members who do not meet the requirement of a volunteer or participant cannot use ASF equipment or be physically involved with the adaptive sports activities.  If you would like further information on our volunteer criteria, expectations, and policies please visit: volunteer Q&A.

To register as a volunteer please visit: Volunteer Registration or feel free to contact us at 450-243-5985 or admin@adaptivesports.ca.
